We have always advocated “housing as healthcare” – that stable and safe housing is essential to improving or maintaining health for chronically ill persons who are homeless – that medication adherence, nutrition, mental health, access to health and entitlement services and benefits are obtained and/or improved with stable housing.housing.

Almost anyone you meet has fallen on hard times at one point or another in their lives. It is estimated that close to 70% of people living with chronic conditions will need housing assistance during their lifetime. We strive to do our best to provide all of the necessities for new residents coming in and the residents we currently have. Please consider making a financial contribution to SMICR that will go directly to our residential programs and its residents. Every little bit helps and if we can’t find a cure for health ailments facing our clients, we can at least support these groups.

Where does it go:

All donations go directly to running our programs, whether it is food, clothing, bedding or hygiene products! You can also help with in-kind donations. Please contact our main office if you have services, products or events that your household or organization would like to donate!

All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
